About Aleksi

When you play the most popular instrument in the world, having an “original” sound is a near impossibility, but New York virtuoso Aleksi Glick has done just that.

As a member of a musical family, Aleksi has been exposed to virtually all styles of music since birth, from jazz to classical, folk to rock and a half dozen other stops in between some of those genres. He’s listened to everyone from Jimi Hendrix to John Scofield, Derek Trucks to Wes Montgomery. His guitar speaks an authoritative language and yet, there is a relaxed feeling and an inbred admiration of music’s many faces.

As any good New York artist does, Aleksi plays with the best and brightest across the creative landscape. From films to radio, pop to jazz, on tape or video, he maintains an ideal balance of adaptability and uniqueness. He’s played and/or or recorded with Snack Cat (The Funk-Soul band he leads), Roberta Flack, Jersey Boys, Bailen, the Broadway cast of Aladdin, J Hoard, Wayne Wilson, Bailen, Peter Bernstein, Jessie Mueller, Sam Dillon, Richard Saunders, Josh Dela Cruz, Michael Blume (AKA Whatever Mike), Major Attaway, Neffy, Foam Collective, Alita Moses, Paul Bollenback, Sammy Rae, Lauren Scales, Steven Feifke, The Seth Weaver Big Band, Vic Juris, Adam Ahuja, Sri Kala, Jacob Jeffries, Rasika Shekar, Pete Ayres, Stevie Mackie, Mike Glick (his pops) and many more. He’s also worked with many major labels, indie labels publishing companies and music libraries including Warner Chappell Production Music, Warner Music, Universal Production Music, West One, Audio Network, Ropeadope, APM, EMI, Pinch Records and Outside In.

As a composer/producer Aleksi has had his music placed in Paramount Pictures 80 For Brady Soundtrack, Marvel Studio’s What If, VH1’s Black Ink Crew, Netflix’s The Circle, HGTV’s House Hunters and many more. He co-wrote the music for the brand new film Better Half. Aleksi was also a nominee for the 2023 Mark Awards and is a voting member of The Recording Academy/GRAMMYs.
